As I mentioned before I welcome you asking around the board to see who people think is more honest you, or the 'pathological liar'. You will never do this of course because we both know what people would answer.

I'm glad to see you're on board with the Senate radically increasing oversight on Trump though. Since everyone with a brain knows the only way that's likely to happen is with Democrats in control of the chamber we've come to an agreement.
You lied and I called you on it. Stop whining.

Doc, you can't be happy about:

Trumps inability to show remorse or gratitude
Trumps handling of the Widow
Trumps complete flip flopping on nearly everything
I just heard Trump has belittled 20% of Republicans in Congress (or the Senate I forgot)
Trumps inability to accept blame

Saying you are disappointed doesn't mean you wanted President Clinton

It's very unlikely people are jumping ship because they know what Mueller has. I sincerely doubt a secret of that magnitude would stay a secret long.

I kind of agree, on "specifics". However, they've all likely seen/heard the evidence that the congressional committees have found. Likely thinking that it's the tip of the iceberg compared to what Mueller has.

lol you seriously have no idea what a lie is then. I have no idea why you are so consumed by your ego and petty grievances but it's sad.
You bald-face lied about what I think and then rationalize it away with complete horseshit when called on it. Another day in the life of fskimospy. Pathetic.

Yes, clearly I was attempting to deceive you into believing you thought something you didn't, hahaha. If you couldn't figure out what my post meant then I feel sorry for you. I am quite sure you knew exactly what it meant but you're petty and consumed by grievances and so here we are. Pathetic indeed.

So Trump can afford to lose 2 Senators on every vote, and now, he has 3 (Corker, McCain, Flake) that hate his guts and don't care about reelection.

Winning!

As more moderate Republicans leave office and or their party they will continue to be overtaken by more extremists and the party will continue to die until a true moderate Republican party emerges. Mark my words. This is the beginning of the end for the Republican as we once knew it.

We call them blue dog Democrats, and they get along well enough with the Bushes. The center will take over for the former GOP.

If he truly believes any of what he said today, Mr. Flake would run for re-election and do his best to gather up allies to right the ship. His party - and more importantly - his country need people with stiff spines now more than ever. Instead he'll posture for the next year and a bit, and take a cushy private sector job. Today's Republicans are horrifyingly devoid of morals.

This...Choosing to "oppose Trump" through retirement is a pretty passive way of going about things. It's good speech. But you combine that speech with..

"And so I'm going to run for reelection and prevent some Roy Moore like Trumpbot from filling my critical seat, and if I lose the primary then so be it" And..."I'm going to work with Democrats and other Republican Senators of reason to provide some real accountability from this Administration for as long as I hold my seat" And..If Trump wants any votes from me on his priorities then he better shape up and start acting presidential and start listing to your advisers in the following respects....

He's got power right now, how about he uses it for what he says it needs to be used for? Denouncing stuff then giving up is not so impressive. Stirring words. Needed to be said, it was good to hear them, and it's sad that they will amount to absolutely jack shit.

Maricopa county would elect an undead Nazi pederast if they ran as a Republican.
This. Everyone crows like this is a good thing, sane Republicans leaving office. The GOP has done a masterful job of stacking the decks through gerrymandering, repressive voting laws, etc. to control the legislature and the executive branches, and thus ultimately the judiciary.

I am not confident at all that there will be enough effective votes to switch either the House or Senate to Dem the next election. If Trump continues to muddle along without causing obvious damage to the country (like a nuclear war) we could easily get a whole new batch of pro-Trump legislators to replace Corker, Flake, etc. It's likely those seats will stay GOP and it's just as likely the little Trumpies will win the nominations.

I sure there were flowerly speeches like this from resigning members of the German legislators in the late 1920s. Look how much good that did.

How the fuck can he lie about whats inside your brain?

He's admitted there is a problem
Sen. Jeff Flake to retire at end of term, not running for re-election

Going forward I am going to try to be nice to people who admit there is a problem. This last election cycle was particularly divisive. I don't expect Doc to become an Elizabeth Warren fan but I want to welcome him to come in from the rain & cold.
Same for the people duped by Russian Propaganda. I don't expect them to become Hillary supporters, I do not want to assign blame either because Propaganda is designed to deceive.

It's not just Russian propaganda. They're just a different flavor of the poisonous right wing propaganda that's bombarded the American consciousness for decades. Trumpism is the culmination of all of that.
