I´have a Athlon XP 2000 system with ABIT NF7-S mobo. Is a good choice upgrade my processor for a Sempron 2400?

Not really. A sempron 2400+ is the same speed as an Athlon 2000+, it just has a higher FSB/RAM speed. It's definitely not worth going out and spending money just to get the same CPU speed.
