Sempron 2200+ @1500Mhz temperatures

Mines currently running at 40 degrees celcius while my system temp is about 30c. Is this normal? At what temporatures do Semprons tend to become unstable?

Thanks

Ok, sounds alright then. Thanks. It's jumped a couple of degrees with the ti4200 I just bought plugged in. I don't know if this is an air circulation issue or my PSU not being strong enough. It's a 350 and the estimated requirements for the system are about 280, but the PSU isn't branded so it may not supplying that many watts. The voltages are slightly lower for each line - 3.15 instead of 3.3 etc, but the 12v line is higher than normal, but then it's like this without the GFX card plugged in. My system is reasonably stable but should I increase the voltages (if my PSU is capable)? Will this bring down my CPU temps a little?

Nope it would not bring the tempereature down. I would try getting some ceramique or silver Artic compund and that should cool the cpu some 2-3 c lower 🙂 Add more case fans too 🙂 I would honestly not worry about it since it is a low temp to beging with 🙂

you are fine. Just make sure you HDD is not steaming hot. If you CPU approaches 50s then you want to consider a better case fan, or an additional one.

Alright, thanks folks. On a related note how much heat can an Asus 9280 ti4200 handle? It's currently at 50c/122f running at 260Mhz. Is this normal?
