Semi-dead computer, can anyone help me diagnose it?

Alright, about a week ago my computer stopped doing anything period. I just installed a new power supply and now the thing is at least getting power.

All of my case fans are turning and when I turn on the PC the DVD-ROM and CD-R lights come on. However, that's all the thing does. I get no video output and the PC speaker doesn't beep to indicate that there is any kind of bootup going on that I just can't see.

I know the video card is getting power because the Radeon's fan is spinning, therefore I also know the motherboard (ABIT BH6) is getting power because the CPU fan is also turning. It is also lighting up the power-on LED. However, I am getting no light from my Hard Drive LED, and both of them are attached to a Promise Ultra100 card (yes, the LED is hooked up to the Promise card). I tried unhooking both harddrives and connecting the HD with the OS on it up to the motherboard IDE channel instead of the Promise and I get the same result. I'm also not getting any light on the floppy drive. I also am not sure whether the harddrives are spinning or not -- although I know the power plugs they are plugged into work because the same plugs power the harddrive fans because of Y-split connections at that connection.

Am I looking at a CPU that was fried when my old Power Supply died on me? I don't see how that could be the case though because the power supply didn't die when the PC was power on, I just couldn't turn my PC on one day. Right now I have a Celeron566@850. So am I needing to replace my CPU or is there something else I can do to attempt and find the problem?

Thanks everyone.

Alright, this is weird. I didn't do anything to the PC, but when I tried to turn it on this time it booted fine, but I had no keyboard or mouse control. The keyboard lights were on, and the optical mouse's red light was on, but I could do anything with them. I rebooted again, but this time couldn't get past the "Verifying DMI pool data . . ." message, urgh!

EDIT: Just tried to reboot again, but once again it just sat there powered up and didn't even give me any video output.

I recalll that BH6's have a jumper to reset, but pulling the battery will do the same. Pull the battery and unplug the power cord and let it sit for a couple minutes.

Correct. You can move the jumper to the other position for about 15 seconds, then move it back. That will clear your CMOS. Should work. MAKE SURE THE PS IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE YOU DO THIS! Resetting the CMOS works wonders...most of the time. Good luck.

No such luck with the CMOS. I'm now convinced that either my Celeron566 is fried or the Slotket adapter is fried (or both), because I just plugged in an old Celeron300A that I had sitting around and the PC booted up without a hitch (well, the CMOS complained a little bit, but I just went into the setting and set it up for the 300A). It works fine now. Dammit, and I've had that CPU for less than a year!! Urgh, anyone have any suggestions for a replacement CPU that works in a BH6? :-(

Wait, you did get it to post though? Hmm, if it posts, I don't think it's the cpu. I'll bump this and hopefully some of the big dawgs can come by to help yah.

As I said above I did get the PC to completely boot once with the as of now "assumed to be at least semi-fried" CPU inserted. However, after it booted I had no keyboard nor mouse control even though both of them had lights lit and were on and everything -- plus there was some awful ghosting on my monitor for some reason that isn't there with the 300A in there now. That was the only time I got it to boot though, every time before, and everytime since then it just powers on and just sits there doing nothing and my monitor reporting "no video signal."
