I made a mistake and bought some T-bills that are only pulling in about 4.8 percent. They are 6 month bills. How easy/hard would it be to try to unload them and put the money somehwere else?

There's no penalty for redemption before they are mature, but you will be responsible for redemption/sales fees.

Where did you buy them through, and how do you buy them by accident? Also, is the interest you would gain through another source more than you would pay in redemption fees/sales commissions?

I bought them via Merrill Lynch, and it was via a mistaken communication with another family member.

Blackouts, accidentally buying T-bills -- sounds like it's time for you to cut back on the drinking.

No idea, I stick with stock index mutual funds.

This really isnt that hard of a question.. I'm sure someone knows if I can sell these T bills w/o taking a big loss.
