I've never sold anything over 30 bucks that wasn't through eBay, and those things that I sold were all paid for in cash. Let's say I want to sell something for a few hundred to someone else on a forum, how would he or she send the money? Check? Paypal (don't know how this works)? It's probably pretty common but I don't do a lot of non-ebay selling and buying so I really don't know.

Thanks.

Money orders? As in cash/check?

Also, how safe/easy is Paypal when dealing between two people and no eBay to work the transaction?

That's where Heatware comes into play. You check out how many Heat they have and how smooth the transactions were. Other than that, it's all about trusting someone to send you the goods for your money and vice versa.
