Hey, I was wondering if you guys knew how much I could get if I sell my desktop, which is a dell I've added some upgrades to:
P4 2.8ghz
512 mb ram
40gb hd
16X DVD Burner drive, CD drive
FX5200 256mb PCI graphics card
Samsung 710N Flat Panel Monitor

It can play games pretty well, it runs Half Life 2 at 1200 I think, or 1080 im not sure. I just don't play pc games anymore though. I really need a laptop for college, would selling this setup be enough for a good laptop?

And for anyone interesting in trading this for a laptop, give me your email address

It was when new, but now that a few pixels have burnt out and let's face it, not enough RAM and that dog of a video card. I'd say $250.00 U.S. would be a fair price for the whole thing.

i just bought the monitor a couple months ago, it works great. wow if it's really $250 for the whole thing it's not even worth selling.

A socket754 sempron 2800+ would beat that and a new mobo+CPU with warranty goes for $130 or less ($90 for an Outpost.com deal). The onboard nvidia 6100 graphics of the $65 mobo would even be faster than your card (though stealing some memory).

You might check eBay to see what people there are paying for the parts, and a Dell barebones will probably fetch a bit more than a no-name systen from eBayers.
