According to the criminal complaint, Mr. Jones and Mr. Bryant had modified Xbox game consoles running as ?demonstrators? and would detail the advantages of the modifications to customers. Customers would allegedly pay between $225 to more than $500 for the changes, based on how extensive the modifications were and on how many games were pre-loaded onto hard drives.
As part of the investigation, undercover agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement paid $265 to have a modification chip, a hard drive and 77 pirated games installed on an Xbox, according to the complaint.
