Selling modded consoles legal?

Mod chips and modded consoles aren't illegal...it's just when dumbasses include hard drives full of 200 games on them that it raises a red flag.

Yeah I know most all forums allow selling modded consoles as long as no backups are included that doesn't have originals. I am selling a modded Xbox local without games and was a little iffy about it since I was not for sure as to whether it was illegal or not.

that's not necesarilly true.

selling a modded xboxes with certain (most) bioses is illegal because most bioses that allow you to run copied games and stuff contain actual signed MS code.

that's why when you buy the mod chips they generally come with the cromwell bios on them (the opensource linux one).
