They might fetch a pretty penny...

I had a lego pirate ship, a truck/trailer/helicopter combo, a space shuttle, and a pneumatic (sp) truck (the last 2 were the "technic" things). My mother sold each one for somewhere in teh neighborhood of $100 before shipping.

Alright. How's this:

Each a seperate auction:
1. The three ships: The speeder, the carrier, the distroyer, and the tanker/ship with just a hull
2. All the color coded bags (Red, Green, Yellow, White, Blue, Gray)
3. The Windows
4. The Wheels
5. The People
6. The Train
7. The Other Train
8. The Straight Tracks
8a. The Curved Tracks
8b. The 'Y' Tracks
8c. The "+" Track
9. The Speed Regulator
10. The Other Speed Regulator
11. The Flat Build Sites
12. The Lego Camera
----12a: The Lego Camer software doesnt support Windows XP, However, Lego has a link that once your address is inserted, they will send you a windows xp compatible cd. I havent tried this.
13. The Lego 'picker-upper'
14. The Darth Vader Attacker
15. The Three Biotechnics

Would this be a good categorization? Now Platinumike's and VTHodge's, the two points collide: Sell 1-2 Things at a time. And "Would anyone be looking for an ebay auction of tons of brown pieces or 40 lego people?" counteract with eachother. Say I sell all the legos in their respective bags (All Colors), and then All The lego people? Or the lego people individually, I've seen some lego people running at 5-10 dollars:

(Plz Dont Send me all your "ygpm's" yet because I wont be having these open until I have a thread in AT Forums, I will post it here if and when I come to that point)

But this isn't ebay, and I could potentially make a little more or a little less doing it there. Idk if its worth a gamble, but Im starting to think about making a F/S thread here @ AT Forums because a number of people have already giving offers :D Im still thinking about it, but will have a decision wether I'm going to ebay or AT forums (or both) by later tonight. However, I'd like to hear your comments regarding this debocle, is this an accurate estimate on what I should try aiming for when selling these?

I guess I was wrong and people really do want to buy a bag of people. Your distribution is probably good. Good luck!

Thanks Hodge :D

No bites yet though, I might just go the ebay route if this goes on for a few more days.

this one? the black seas barracuda? i have it too, cost my mom a lot back in those days...
http://www.1000steine.com/brickset/images/6285-1.jpg

i didn't know they changed it to cannons that can't shoot. all pirates sets that I have are spring cannons

i didn't get the train sets until 2 years ago when I bought IMO the best train set... actually my gf did buy it for my bday, its the rerelease edition of the metroliner and i also got the extra two level club car. that set is awesome.

OP, if you do ebay it, you should do 10 days... not 7 days
but I agree, your reasoning is that you need the $$ now to buy the books and the knowledge so you can get these sets later once you have loads of $$$. I don't disagree, but I think owning the actual sets you owned -- instead of re-purchasing the same preowned sets from some stranger -- will have the extra sentimental value to it.

I still have all my legos.
