I got a big collection of baseball cards. How do I go about selling these off? eBay, card shop, convention? Should I bother looking through for valuable cards? I'd recognize the stars, but I hardly keep up with baseball now. Are baseball cards worth anything anymore?

They still carry quite a bit of value if you get a good one. If you want to make money, go through them. Make piles of names you recognize and ones you're unsure of. Bring them to a store or a friend who may know stuff about them and see if they are worth anything. don't allow them to buy any off you on the spot, always go back and intarweb them.

i realized my mid 90's basketball cards are about the same in value

once they started putting in jersey inserts they will always be more valuable and the packs got rediculous for kids to collect

i gave up

Thanks for the info. I think that's why I lost interest. I kind of have OCD when it comes to make something complete, so I want to have the entire set. It's too hard and costs too much money.

Well, depending on the card, get it graded. If you have a $20. card, and it costs $10. to have it graded???

I have a 1969 Topps Nolan Ryan, and even with that card, I'm hesitant to get it graded. It's an easy 8 PSA, or 7 BGS, but I won't pay the money. If I was at a convention and they were doing on the spot grading, I would instantly do it, but to send a card like this through the mail even with the best protector............. Nope.
