So I sold my motorcycle to a guy in state but 4 hrs away from Philly.
I sent him the title and he couldnt transfer it into his name. The folks
there told him I would need to get it notarize and what not. As I inspected
the back of the title closer, I noticed an area for a notary stamp but then
I realized maybe the buyer and seller (me) would need to sign in front of
the notary clerk. How is this possible if you're selling someone via the Internet?

This whole thing was a mess. I lost the title but dude paid for the bike anyways.
As promised I received a copy of my title and sent it to him (i got my money before all of this). Now it's just trying to get him to transfer the title into his name. Wouldnt want him to drive 4 hrs to Philly but if he has to oh well.

We live in NC and recently sold a camper to a buyer in Va (approx. 5 hours away). We were just required to have our signatures (sellers only) notarized here. The buyer was to take care of getting his signature notarized after he got back home. YMMV based on your state. We found good info on the NC DMV site.
