Selling a car, it hasnt been registered since 02 or so. Before i sign over the title to whoever buys it, do I need to go to the DMV and register it?

If it is titled in your name, then no it does not need registered plates to sell it. If you bought it and never got the title registered, then that is another matter...

It shouldn't really be a problem, but it might depend on your state.
