Mother is an attention whore. Punish the kids in private, save their dignity. It's not like they killed someone, they marred up the bathtub. Ridiculous.

Twenty-four bids and it's up to $96 with almost 8 days to go. Damn, I gotta get something like this going with pictures of my kids in tears.

Nobody can be this bad of a parent. Taking money from the kids piggy bank to pay for a bathtub? Somebody needs to call child protective services against this looney.

Yeah, teaching kids to be responsible for the damage they cause is bad parenting.

I haven't called anyone a jackass all day, so consider yourself the first.

What the fuck are beyblades?

And what kind of shitty bathtub do they have that can be destroyed by kids toys?

They are fancy tops that use a launcher thingy that lets you spin them really fast and fling them.

They have metal tips.

Fast moving fairly heavy tops being flung with metal tip toward bathtub = bad.

Huh...it all looked like plastic stuff in the picture.

Kudos to the parents though.

They are cast metal which is why they 'effed up the tub.

A good lesson for the kids is taking the toys, selling them and showing them the results of their destructive actions. Shaming them on the Internet is lame and something only an attention whore would do.

"Look at me!!! Look at me!!! I discipline my kids!!! Look at me!!! Aren't they upset??? I showed them!!!"

What are you talking about? The kids probably got the money from the parents in the first place.

Anyways, it's a good lesson for kids to learn. They broke something expensive so they need to take responsibility for it and lose something of their own. The parents could have reacted much worse. Doing nothing as punishment or beating their kids would have been bad ways to react, taking away the toys that did the damage and their savings to pay for the repair was completely understandable and a very good way to discipline them IMHO.

After finding out what these things are, it sounds like the mom is pretty stupid for not making sure they are using one of those plastic battle things.. unless of course they do have them and there have already been warned against using the tub..

Looks like she missed the parenting on the front side of this problem. How could you not know/hear what they were doing?

Description:

We are selling 8 Beyblades, 2 of them light up. As you can tell they are not happy about this! They have been using their bathtub as a "battle arena" and Beyblades + Bathtub = Destruction!!! With the metal ones they managed to scrape the enamel off the tub, take a chunk of tub out and break off the soap holder. SO if you "win" this auction DON'T play with in a bathtub!!! We have recieved a quote of $500.00 to replace the tub, some tiles, and soap holder + labor of course! They had approxamently $125.67 in their piggy banks that will be going to toward the cost. We will use the profit from this auction towards the balance and then it is onto other toys!
Good Luck bidding!!!
Paypal only.

WTF

It was $140 just a few minutes ago. Those things sell for less than $20 a piece new, unless there's some collector factor I'm unaware of.

Look at the bid history... looks like they are getting trolled.
