"sell" vs. "sale"

I see these words mixed up a TON on these boards. It seems that a lot of people use "sale" in place of "sell". As in, "I'm going to sale him my motherboard" or "stores will sale more product". I see this on other boards too. It's driving me nuts! I'm wondering if maybe this is acceptable usage in other parts of the world? I'm just looking for a reason as to why I see it so much. If there is a legitimate reason for it then maybe it won't bother me so much 🙂

You need to quit being so anal, if you worry to much about how people use language you will loose your mind.

You wouldn't want too do that.

I hope no one who actually speaks english messes that up, because that would make them absolutely retarded.

I'd much rather see poor grammar than somebody actively go out of their way to spell every single "the" they post "teh".

I wouldn't be surprised at all. I learned the simple truth about the masses...

People are idiots.

Just accept it and move on.

I have a TV up for sell. 😉

It's probably non-native English speakers.

Remember:

Sell = VERB, Sale = NOUN, and Sail = BOAT.

That doesn't bother me so much as the people who seem incapable of using grammar or spelling in every post they make.

Are there any parts of the english speaking world where "axed" is acceptable over "asked"... or "pacific" over "specific"?
Both get on my last nerve when I hear them used wrong. 🙂

Tell that to my drug addictions.

I think it's permissable at a "Def Comedy Jam" gathering.
