Yes - better sell those GTX's while you can, lol After my true cost of shipping I will clear $420 for mine from Ebay, lol Then the free quake wars game from Newegg I should get another $25 or so on top. Good old Ebay where the folks are not in touch with the latest news in regards to the 8800 GT, lol

Yes, those without conscience's seem to get further in this world, than those that do. Unfortunately.

So how much should someone sell a GTX for now? I had mine on ebay for $400 buy it now or best offer for a few hours. I had actually decided not sell it and ended the auction early, but I had someone email me directly who had seen the auction who offered me $400 immediately if I re-listed it. So, I re-considered and he bought it. We chatted a bit via email when I sent him his tracking number, and he even let me know that he had been considering an 8800GT but was unable to find one in stock so he bought the GTX. Should I feel bad because I was able to buy an 8800GT the next day for $270?

SteelSix made out pretty well, but he did start out at $259 with no reserve, so he could have also ended up selling his card for LESS than what a typical 8800GT costs these days had no one bid on it. Obviously, his card with the modded fan and bios and included games was worth $500 to someone. As long as no one was mis-led he has absolutely no reason for his conscience to weigh heavily. He didn't cheat or steal from anyone, he just sold his card to the highest bidder.

Thanks nitro. That about sums it up I think. Only thing I could have done different is said *BUYER BEWARE* you're buying a card that's outdated.

But I don't think it's my responsibility to make sure they're up on things. That's why I (we) spend hours on the forums. To be in the know is our payoff...

Hehe, yep totally agreed. Not on my shoulders to put on my Ebay listing that yes you are paying $420 for this card but can go get one for $270 to match it, lol
