Selfie stick problem with android phone

Hi, I'm new here and I don't know if this is the best place to post my problem but I don't know what else to do. I have lg optimus G and I recently got a selfie stick z07-5s but the camera button that has on it doesn't work. I true everything , I changed the volume button into capture in camera and nothing. I downloaded 360camera , I did the same thing and still nothing. I tried the selfie stick on the iPhone 4s and it worked. Does anyone know what can I do ? It's weird because the stick is supposed to work on every device

1. What kind of selfie stick is it? Sounds to me like its the Looq DG?
2. How does it connect to phone? BT? Audio cable?
3. Without the stick attached, does volume button work as shutter?

I don't know what kind of selfie stick is lol it only says monopod z07-5s. It connects with audio cable and when it does it shows on screen that something has connected so it's not like my mobile phone doesn't recognise it. And yes without the selfie stick the volume button does work as a capture button . and I don't want to spend any other money on buying another selfie stick so it would be really helpful if I could somehow fix the problem

That is how it works great, but operating system says ok. How come
Apple it is works and not work good on? This is confusing really.
