Self Storage

I live in an apt currently and am finding myself running out of room. Thought about moving to a bigger place but that means another $50-$100 a month or i could rent a storage unit which would be around $40-$60 around my area. Is this the average? are these places reliable and worth while? i dopnt know anyone that uses one...

I love storage places. every year they have a auction at them because a bunch of idiots don't pay for it and lose everything in it. you can pick up some good stuff cheap at them!

I don't see the point of using them for long-term storage, as you suggest. If you have so much stuff that you have to stick half of it in a storage place for months, why don't you just sell it? I mean, clearly you're not using it.

Did not know this. Interesting. 🙂

And with the stuff in storage, you're paying someone else money for the privilege of not using your stuff.

oh yeah. its great. but its ALL DAY LONG. i got a nice set of dresser's for $5 each. heck they were maybe 5 years old.

toward the end if it is full of crap they just start doing off the whole thing. I got one full of garden tools for $5. sold most of it at a garage sale for well over $100. Also we did one that had a old mustang in it! you couldnt see the car since it was covored in crap. we paid $200 for the unit and discovered the car while digging in it.

hell one guy founda big screen HD tv doing it once (one of the older ones). i go every year and spend like $500 heh
