Self extracting files which are encrypted

Hi,

I used to use PGP to encrypt files, but they appear to no longer allow you to do this for free.

Can anyone recommend an alternative that is very secure.

And do any of the solutions allow self decrypting executable files.

If it wasn't encrypted it would be pretty pointless since there are other programs that can extract RAR archives.
 
My error .. Winrar can Password an Archive .. not sure about Encryption
Winzip10 CAN Encrypt with up to a 256 character key
