Typical hard ass being a tough guy until it's time to swing.

If you come swinging you BETTER be ready for a fight.

Assault with a deadly weapon? No, he used the gun to cool off the situation.

PS. not cool for teens to jump the guy....but still, he got what he asked for.

If you follow someone to their house and swing the first punch you are at fault and should be arrested for assault.

Video is obviously out of context. But...

The guy walks up to the car/kids calling them punks for trying to cut him off on the road and then he throws a punch. He threw the first punch so he should have been ready to deal with both of them. He wasn't. Pulling the gun was just to get them off of him.

Damn that's a messed up video. It depends on what happened leading up to it because someone in the comments thought the couple was in their driveway after these kids cut them off but all she had to do was take an aggressive stance with the pistol to scare them off. There didn't look like a need to discharge it.

Just saw KB's post.. if the couple had followed the kids to their driveway, this was not self defense. Luckily no one got shot holy shit.

It looks like he pulled the gun after they already backed off. The man shouldn't be carrying a gun if he's such a hothead.

This video is a few months old. ReggieDunlap has the correct version of events. This 45 year old guy had a fit of road rage and follows group of guys home and proceeds to punch a 21 year old in the face with his buddies right next to him. He of course gets his ass handed to him and then pulls the gun out. He went to jail over everything and the young'uns weren't charged. It was funny because the court room video showed him with two black eyes.

Yea but first swing from the teen = assault as well.

no.

The old guy threw the first punch. the 2 kids were defending themselves. when the fight was won they walked off. then his wife gave him the gun. he pointed it at them

i see that he was charged and went to jail. that is what should have happened.

I think the old guy got what he deserved on both counts. He deserved to get his asked kicked and he deserved the police charges.

Deputies say what's not seen on the video is the husband firing several rounds into the pickup truck as he left.

Dumbass redneck deserves to go to jail.

That old guy is nothing but a punk. He should be going to jail where he can enjoy some more beatings and be abused.

He started everything by following them to their house and attacking them and he was in the wrong 100%. The guy should have his gun taken away from him.

I dare that moron try that on me and he would have got a good beatdown.

Illegal threat of deadly force. He initiated the conflict, pursued, is on their property, and threatened with a gun to get even after the physical threat had passed.

For those who saw the video and didn't read the whole story, he also fired several shots into their truck as he left, which the video doesn't show.

Needs to be a convicted felon for the rest of his life for being a douchebag.

We covered this last time the topic was active.

The guy fired his gun, as the teens were leaving. Absolutely uncalled for.

from another article here

Bradley Turner was previously arrested for assault and trespassing charges in 2002 and 2003, investigators said. Those charges were later dropped. Attempts to contact the Turners for comment have not been answered.

wow so he has a history of assault and trespassing?

I never realized he fired his gun after, what a tard.

I think when his wife gave him the gun the kids were already about to leave him alone.

The threat was removed after the kids saw the dude's wife with the gun. Don't get your timeline screwed up.

I am glad it turned out how it did though.

Carrying a weapon carries with it a steep increase in responsibilities. You just can't act like dumb kid anymore. If you feel the need to confront someone you need to keep it civil and certainly never take it up to the level of menacing.

EDIT: Guys like this only give fuel to the gun-grabbers that maybe the bar should be set higher when issuing a license to carry.
