Hello,
Looking to get some info on a build I will be working on. I plan to use this computer mostly for gaming. Not sure of a few things, but hopefully I can get some feedback. I have a flexible amount to spend. Looking to have something that will play anything I can throw at it, and also be viable for a while going forward

My Build:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Mobo: Asus P5Q-E (I want to run 2 4870 in crossfire. Looking for info on this board)
HDD's: 2 - WD Caviar SE16 500 GB Hard Drives running in a raid
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 750 Watt
Case: Thermaltake Soprano RS101
Cooling: Thermaltake TMG i1
Ram: 4 GB (2 x 2GB) Corsair Dual Channel PC6400 DDR2 800mhz
Video: 2 - ATI 4870HD's running in Crossfire

Suggestions are very welcome. Also any bad experiences or recommendations are very much appreciated.

Thanks

Vid cards could be overkill... What screen resolution are you going to be using?

Sorry for not getting back sooner...it was a busy weekend.

Juke: I'll be running in 1680x1050 resolution. The twin cards might be a bit overkill, but I figured if I have the money now, might make it so I wont have to upgrade anytime soon.

DSF: I've had experience with several PSU's, and generally I've had no bad experienced with any brand. I wanted something in the 700 to 800W power range, and I believe when I looked at it the Toughpower had the best deal going. Other then that, no specific bias for or against.

And in a short while, there will be single GPU's faster than that XF setup. Don't invest in hardware.

Edit: One 4870 is enough for that resolution, and you could even get by with a 4850. Save your money.
