I've never been in a draft myself (only 18), but from what my parents have told me about the Vietnam era draft I have a pretty good idea of what would happen. Everyone who registered for the Selective Service would be randomly assigned a number, then those numbers are drawn randomly. The people whose numbers get drawn have to report to a central office to go through a physical inspection. If the person is in good physical and mental condition then they are inserted into the US Military. Unless, of course, that person is a CO (Consciencious Objector), in which case they proceed to a hearing to find out the motivation behind that person's claim to be a CO. Basically they want to be certain that the person really does have a strict moral or religious reason for not wanting to be in the military, and that the person is not just looking for any possible way out. Personally, I'd walk in, sing a couple of bars of 'Alice's Restaurant' and walk out just to see what kind of reaction I would get.
