Hi,this is Indrashis....
I'm going to build a new rig soon...I have considered to buy an AMD PHENOM II X4 945 processor....
Right now I'm getting confused about the motherboard....I dont know much about AM2+ and AM3 socket....please suggest me any mid or low range(around 50-65USD) GIGABYTE or ASUSE AM3 motherboard that will be good for the processor
thank u.......
My other system specs are-
16" AOC monitor
2GB DDR3 OCZ RAM
500GB HDD CEGATE
LG DVD Writer
ATI 5770 1GB GDDR5

I'm quite impressed with the GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H from all the research I have done. It is $140 on newegg if memory serves me. Not totally sure how much you want to spend on your mobo though.

Personnally I would choose between the ASUS Crosshair IV Formula and a Gigabyte 890FX UD5.

The Gigabyte board is a winner in my book since it costs $60 - $70 less.

The Gigabyte UD7 costs even more than ASUS and requires and EATX computer case.

I agree with you the crosshair board is sick. For that price is right. Then you can buy the Deneb 965. The board will allow you to unlock it to a six core.
