Selecting Text - IE Bug or Forums?

If I quote a post, and use mouse to select text from the quoted post...

and drag across (leftwards) the tags such as [ i ] < b r >, as the mouse crosses the '<' symbol it jumps over the ] bracket as well and if you move back to the right it won't stop in between. I actually have to stop before the < symbol and make any other edits afterwards.

Very odd, anybody else see this, I can see this happen on multiple machines. Perhaps it's an IE setting or MS issue.

FWIW, if you drag all the way across the [ i ] (or other bracket symbol) you can then drag back and select the spot between ] and <. But, as I said above, if you go from right to left across the < symbol it jumps to the left of the ].

That may simply be a result of IE's "feature" where it snaps to whole words while selecting. MS Word does this, too, and I find the behavior very annoying. Fortunately, Mozilla doesn't have this problem. 🙂
