selecting a web server

Hello

can you guys tell me what criteria should i adopt for selecting a webserver?
i am looking at something for which i will pay around 15 dollars per month

what requirements do you need?

how big is the site? is it CPU intensive? databases? server side scripts? how much bandwidth do you need?

more than likely if you are not taking these into account you're gonna have a tiny site with like 3 hits a month...just get the cheapy plan on cernax.com

Hot Deals forum will list some hosting specials but they expire fast so old threads aren't much help.

and the correct terminology in this case is a webhost, not a webserver

check http://siteground.com/ out. they offer $5 dollars a month for 100GB traffic and 1GB of space. its a capital B too. so that's bytes. it seems insane.
