i'm looking for 205/65-15 tires. For a 97 chrysler sebring
1 being most important:

1: High mileage/threadwear
2: Performance/Handling in Wet & Dry conditions
3: Quiet

I'm looking to spend no more than $89 per tire, brands i am looking at: Pirelli, Yokohama, Michelin, Firestone. Looking for All-Season or better still, All-season touring.

Pls let me now your tire recommendations, i am very troubled after reading so many reviews on tirerack.com, makes it worse cos the more i read, the more i cannot decide, thnks alot! :)

Go to Sam's or Costco. You can get BF Goodrich tires for $60-$70 installed. If you look at reviews of that brand, you'll see it rates up there with Michellin.

I got some firestone and they work nice. Don't buy into the hype that they are junk, they are nice.

Definitely go your local Sam's before you go anywhere else. Good selection of quality tires and prices you cannot beat.

Membership has it's priveleges.

Sam's? Costco? Puhlease. Go to The best tire store on the net. and get the 800 number. You can talk to a guy or lady who REALLY knows tires, and can sell them to you for a LOT less than those so-called "discount" stores.

Even factoring the cost of having them mounted locally, you will save a ton of money and get the tires that are perfect for your car.

I would go Yokohama and drop the profile to 60 instead of 65. ;)
Actually you could go 55 on 15 inch rims so thats is an option too.

I got a sweet deal on some Dunlop 205/65-15 sport tires at Sears a few weeks ago. They were originally on sale for $69 each, and I got them for $29!

Keep an eye out for those closeout specials, it's a great way to save some bucks!

Vogue Tires are great but expensive.

I recently had to replace one of my Vogues and went with a Michelin one for my Cadillac. It was 84 bucks and had a warrenty up to 80,000 miles.

Got it at disount tire co.

This looks like a great place for you to select the tire right for your car.

Get the Yokohama Avid Touring from tirerack.com. They're $46 each with a 80k warranty. Its got a 8.8 rating on the survey page. I got these on my Ford Taurus. Wet and dry traction are impressive. Really smooth ride, seems to get quieter as you drive faster.

I loved my Pirelli P6000's on my old car, nice tires in rainy weather.. Tires.com shows some new ones with a better tread.. they run about $80-90 each..
Also I agree with Firestone tires being good my new car has some Firehawks and they are very nice tires..

People are liking the Toyo 800 Ultra. Do a search for some reviews. Surprisingly, they're reasonably priced.

Using the tires you have on now as an example (P205/65R15):
  • P = Passenger car
    205 = the width of the tread in mm
    65 = aspect ratio or sidewall height. The sidewall height is ~65% of the tread width.
    R = radial tire
    15 = rim diameter
By dropping to a 60 or 55 you are moving to a lower profile tire which will give you a smaller tire height. The only time you want to do this, is when you are moving to a wider tire. The reason for moving to a lower profile is to keep the same overall tire diameter. A tire size of P205/65R15 has approx. the same overall height of a P215/60R15 or a P225/55R15.

I need a more information before making any recommendations though. First off, after the tire size, there should be a marking that reads 91S or something similar. I need to know what your tires say. That is the load index and speed rating of the tire. Also, what model is the Sebring, is it two door or four door and is it a hardtop or convertable. Believe it or not, all these factors are taken into account when choosing the proper tires for your car. Tires are what I do for a living, so if you have any questions, just ask.
