We're going to be selecting 5 Forum members from Anandtech to do a comparison review of our new Nanotherm Thermal Compound. We're looking for experienced members who will do a robust comparison test of Nanotherm vs. ASII, Alumina and/or ASIII. We will supply complimentary sample(s) of Nanotherm only. Interested members should contact me via email at esg@esgn.com. Please include a brief overview of the other thermal compounds that will be used in the review, details on your test rig and a summary of your planned testing procedure. We will review the responses and select 5 members to conduct their reviews. All interested parties must be agreeable to conduct a professional, unbiased review and publish it here on Forum as well as submitting the review and link to us for inclusion on our site.

For those who are not familiar or up-to-date on the Nanotherm products to be reviewed, please visit our site at www.esgn.com. We look forward to hearing from you. We will select the 5 person "Review Panel" next Tuesday, 1/22/02, so interested members should contact me at your earliest convenience.

I'd suggest giving it to members testing with internal diodes only. External temp measurements such as heatsink-based thermocouples are next to useless for measuring grease effectiveness. Side-core thermistors aren't too good for grease testing, since grease spilling off the top can drop onto the thermistor, the thermistor potentially moves during each test, etc....

Socket-thermistors, however, would be the worst by far. Definately inaccurate, and potentially misleading.
