Radisson Hotels have them....I stay at one over the summer last year. I thought it was gimmicky before I tried it but I spent a few minutes on different settings and found one I liked and slept very well. Would I buy one for home? I dunno, it's probably not because it's one of those things that you'll set once and forget about it. I don't know anyone who says 'I really want to sleep on a hard bed tonight for a change'. You might be better of just spending a day and going around and trying all different beds to find one you like. If you and your SO both want dramatically different types of bed I can see the advantage although some places sell beds w varying softness on each side.

Hmm. What about the foam mattresses? Im worried about heat building up under me.

I guess the most important thing for me really is, movement. My SO wakes up at the slightest movement and I dont want to answer questions everytime I need to go to the bathroom.

We have a Select COmfort bed. Have had it for years and it's awesome. Can set it to as firm or soft as you want and your partner can set their side to their own setting. Plus it's guaranteed for a really long time and unless it springs a leak, there's no reason it should ever wear out.

as long as you can agree on a bed with your partner, it must be the biggest gimmick in beds since "magic fingers." want your bed to be soft? buy a soft bed. want it to be hard? buy a hard bed. there's no point in paying for some special control you'll touch once and never look at again. just buy a bed that is comfortable from the start.

i have a memory foam bed, and heat build-up has not been an issue. i love it.

My friend has one and he loves it. Because it's adjustable, his pregnant wife loved that fact that she could adjust the firmness. I think the warranty is like 20 years.

I have one, I bought it when I was about 16, so I've had it for about 7 years now I love it. Still works as well as the day I got it. It's made out of the same material they make whitewater rafts out of so it's super durale. When I go back home from school, I always have problems going to sleep on the guest bed.

We've had our Select Comfort bed for twelve years now. Not a complaint I can think of. Mrs. Carbo and I are quite pleased with it. If/when we decide it's time for another bed, it'll be another Select Comfort. And a twenty year warranty, to boot!
