I've seen alot of watches from far east countries on ebay. Seiko is high on the list. Are most of these watches legit. Of course they say 100% AUTHENTIC, GENUINE...everything..

Alot of them have "see thru" back. I've never seen a seiko at an american store that has a clear back...so are they real?

There are some Feikos on eBay, but most are legit. Seiko doesn't sell most of its interesting watches domestically, and then only through its outlet stores. Accordingly, the only way to get most cool Seiko models (including nearly any of their mechanical models) is by buying from overseas. You might want to shop the Seiko & Citizen Trading Forum, or a reliable vendor like Chronograph.com instead, to be on the safe side, though.

I bought a seiko 5 watch on ebay... can't remember who I bought it from, and I don't know if it's legit... but 2 years later-running great, has taken a beating and still looks good. It all looks legit. The only problems I have, it will sometimes run fast, and charge holds for only a day or two when I don't wear it (it's kinetic, my old pulsar would last a week).

Then again, I paid $55 shipped so I don't particularly care.

Just make sure you print out screens of what you buy, read all the fine print, etc. Also fund it through your Credit Card so you have protection. Then if it turns out not to be what was advertised, you can get your money back.

But just remember... If something looks too good to be true... It usually is.

I bought an automatic Seiko 5 on eBay and it always worked well, sure seemed legit to me. As DonVito pointed out, Seiko just doesn't sell the cheap automatic models in the US. There are a number of powersellers with extremely high feedback selling them, so the likelihood of getting a fake is slim.

The one I bought on ebay was good. As noted above, just pick a big volume/98.5% or better feedback seller. Lots of good deals to be had on nice Seikos.

I've bought legit Seiko and I got a fake once, all off of ebay. stick with the big power sellers from Malaysia or Singapore and you'll be set.
the fake one I got was from an american seller with only a couple hundred feedback

the seller pokemonyu is known to be legit and have great prices. here's his store http://stores.ebay.com/WATCHES-LIMITED
if you're not sure ask for references on PMWF.com or the seiko -citizen forum

they're legit. i've had two (the first seems to have broken from an impact which made the weight slightly off-center so it doesn't wind the spring very well anymore). low prices, quick shipping.

seiyajapan doesn't appear to sell the inexpensive automatics.
