I really like this one although the one you're looking at has slightly better features. I personally went one higher and got this one but you said you don't like white. I love my watch and I would have to spend a lot more to find one that I like better. I've had this thing for 2.5 years now and the crystal is still flawless so I can confirm the quality of Sapphlex.

I have a darker skin tone and I think the grey would look better than a gold/white combo. I don't want anything flashy so no chrono etc. It's made of lightweight titanium and has kinetic auto relay.

i say no, this is better

I have to say that's a cool watch. It's unique too (never saw anything like it). Each hand has it's own dedicated dial.

Did you purchase the watch online? Any reputable online dealers out there?

I'm looking for something around the ~300 price range. Kinetic/Ecodrive is a must and bonuses like it being titanium and having sapphire coating would be nice. A simple design with just date and time.

Ameesh I think the one you listed is from their new Elite line. Not sure about the price but that is a bad picture, it looks so sharp on the Seiko website.

Open to other brands as well :)
I bought my watch from www.aaronswatches.com and got it 2nd day like they promised. My brother and my roommate both used Princeton Watches and got the same deal. I think that either dealer would work. You can also get incredibly good deals on those watches (I'm assuming you already had them email you a price and if you didn't, you don't need to worry, they won't sign you up for spam). My watch will run you around $350 online and the other one I linked is around $250.

edit: My roommate has the same watch as AvesPKS and it's a really nice watch as well. I think you can get it for around $200 from Princeton. It's a great looking watch - very classy.

I say yea. You are the one that will be wearing it. Wear what you like.
I think it looks quite distinctive. My son has a Seiko Kinetic, I don't think you can go wrong.

Seiko makes excellent watches but that said I have never seen a titanium watch that I have liked. Even the expensive ones look like plastic cheapies to me.

Its your money and since the looks of a watch are subjective to the buyer, buy it if you like it.

really as others have said it comes down to what *you* and *you* alone like not what others think, so if you like the style then by all means buy it..personally I don't like that dark of a metal (TI correct?) I have seen some brighter Ti watches but they are all a few thousand dollars and up and I still didn't like the look as much as Stainless. I also don't think the placement of the gold accents look that good on the watch, with Ti I prefer an all Ti watch that is the same color, with Stainless I like some Two Tone models but the placement of the gold has to be done "right", if you look at a few of the stainless seiko braceleted dress watches then that is the style I prefer.

Ti is a great metal if you like the lightweight and also it is hypoallergenic so you will never have to worry about nickle reactions that are common with stainless...

Overall seiko is an excellent brand that is very affordable, IMHO possibly the best lower cost watch company out there...they also make watches that sell for upwards of a few thousand dollars and are worth every penny so don't think they just cater to the lower end.

I also have a darker skin tone and find myself drawn to bright white metals, I know that I might look better with darker golds but something about the contrast of the white seems different, that and stainless and other white metals with the exception of platinum are much cheaper than gold.

good luck

Nice watch, but a lot more conventional. Hope this thread did not influence your decision. You still should go with the watch you like best irrespective of the opinions expressed here. If you actually changed your mind after seeing actual watch great. Thing almost always look different after seeing and touching real thing.
