Okay, today in hot deals there is 400 gb 7200.9 drive.
And theres regular-priced ($100) drive 320gb 7200.10

With 400gb being hot and rebate and all, they come in same price!! Should I get .9 with 80 more gb or .10?

EDIT: they both are SATA2;
Thanks alot 🙂

320gb 7200.10 is a LOT faster. If you really need the 80gb, grab the 7200.9.

People here are mentioning platter size, but even then the 7200.9 is clearly behind. The biggest difference is firmware between the 2...

80gb won't make a difference to me. I want speed 🙂

So, thanks!

I understand 7200.10 have "new" or "updated" stuffs in them? Right now I want 7200.10!

Its not new or update stuff, its a new model, like how you buy cars.. 2005 / 2006, etc..

.9 means generation... .10 is current generation, out since may.. so yes you do want the .10 generation..
