Yep, its true. I have it running at 3ghz right now at default voltage. Its the A6-3650. This thing didn't even break a sweat, I am thinking about taking it higher since the max multi is 47x.

I don't won't to be the one to rain on your parade, but I think that is only the bug (unlocked multi). You can just check the score at default and then at the supposed OC of 3GHz.

Stock 2.6ghz - 28.361s

3.2ghz - 28.205s

Hmm... I ran these numerous times and they were consistant at the clockspeeds. Even if it were truly unlocked, seems that the performance difference wouldn't be worth it.

No,the same results mean that whatever you set in BIOS is overwritten and gets back to 26x.So your chip is not unlocked... This is the same bug that CPUz reported back in August. Many Chinese guys at chiphell got overexcited with supposed 4.7Ghz and 5.4Ghz OC by Llano. In reality chip just ran at stock since multi was bugged and CPUz failed to pick it up.

At 3.2Ghz your score wold roughly be ~23s.

I think I only gain a second when I goto 3.3 to 4.3 on my sandybridge.. but I honestly don't think this chip is unlocked because I can set it at 4.7ghz and it will boot with default voltage... no way its for real. Very strange bug.

Margin of error for results. It isn't overclocked.

No you don't, you have an incompetent MB BIOS author.

They show higher multis, but the speed doesn't change. Try benching it, you wont see a performance increase.

does it game pretty well?

The onboard graphics does pretty well at mid resolution. I get an average of 40fps on medium settings at 1366x768 on BC2... This is the 3650 with the HD6530D graphics too... so the A8 would probably be about 10fps better. I like it for an HTPC.

SLK, you can change the bus speed if you are into Llano OC. The multi is no go for the existing Llanos.

Its one of those Llano bugs again (incorrect clock speed, with arbitary multiplier). Early Llano systems also have them. No biggie, though it does give a false impression of being overclocked. :D

I might mess with the FSB sometime but I heard stories that it causes the board to start flaking out.
