I agree - this is a heat related issue. It happens with all larger monitors, and there is no way to really "fix" it - it's just something you have to learn to work around.
Wait until the tube warms up to its normal operating temperature - usually about 15 minutes or so, before making any adjustments. Then learn to live with the first 15 minutes of inaccuracy while the tube is warming up each time
Some higher end Sony monitors (and others?) have onboard hardware compensation for the warmup period, but on the midrange and low end tubes, you just have to work around it.
