Seems hot: 4200+ X2 for $230 canadian....

That chips should be around $175.00 tomorrow or within a few days after that.

It is already at $188.49 at Mwave.com (includes a free Age of Empires III game as well).

I think this is the board most go with who still want to use AGP:

Asrock

Thanks, but in the specs for that card it says it supports AMD Athlon 64 but this CPU is AMD Athlon 64 X2. Is the motherboard still going to be able to work with that processor?

I have the board, x2 is supported 939 and am2, its rock stable though not the best board for overclocking, its def as future proof as they come.

Ok cool, but I have another question: The FSB on this board only supports up to 1Ghz Hyper Transport, but the chip is capable of up to 2GHz HT. Do you think that's going to hold back the performance of the chip?

By the way are there any other good motherboards that'll work with this chip and have an AGP slot.

1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s). That board is just as fast as any other board out there. If you want AGP that board is the way to go.

Also, read about the board in the motherboard section. It has over 33,000 views and 1400+ posts:
