These numbers are from a browser benchmark on different browsers (iOS stock vs Chrome) , so you are using the numbers out of context. The analysis above is not valid.

Well i believe those are pretty competitive in performance and efficiency. Not to mention ATOM is way slower in iGPU and Snapdragon 800 and 801 was used in Mobile Phones (lower TDP headroom).

Time for Intel to move Tablet SOC development to the big core at the value end in addition to the high end (Core M). At least with that route they are guaranteed to win single thread.

Then after that hopefully Intel improves frequency and IPC on big core even more while adding four way hyperthreading. Big Core with four way HT should be an effective quad core replacement even if technically it is only a single core.
