I'm building a 915 chipset system, and for various reasons I need to build it within the next 2-3 weeks (I can get some free parts if I jump on this, but not if I wait). I want a 6800 Ultra PCI-Express for it, but 6800's are hard enough to find in AGP at the moment, so I'm not holding my breath to see PCI-E's before September, possibly even October or November.
That said, I need recommendations for a PCI or PCI-E video card that's fairly cheap but will at least perform similarly to my current AGP Ti4200 so I can use the system adequately while I wait for GDDR3 to filter down and cards to finally be made available in the current generation. I'd prefer to spend under $100 if possible, and a card that I could resell on Ebay for at least half of what it costs me would be a bonus. Refurbs and used cards would be fine since I don't even plan to use it for more than a couple of months. Links straight to reputable online stores would be great!
