Seeking moderate video card recommendations

Seeking recommendations on a moderately priced video card upgrade. I'm currently running a very old but faithful Radeon LE 32 MB with an Athlon 1200. I'm not a heavy gamer, but want to try Star Wars: Galaxies which requires DirectX9 (per the packaging). Obviously, I don't do this very often so I want it somewhat futureproof. Here are my basic requirements:

$150 - $250
DirectX9
Analog + DVI output for future flat panel
Some video capture capabilities
Linux driver support for dual booting
Prefer very quiet (fanless?) if possible

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

CPU upgrade is also on the calendar. My motherboard only supports up to 1200 and I have 512 MB of PC133. I want to wait for the Athlon 64 bit to enhance my futureproofing.

Radeon 9700 non-pro, or wait and see if they release a Radeon 9800SE (cut down 9800) and see its price/performance.

BTW: SWG likes 1GB of RAM, so you might struggle with 512MB.

The reference to DX9 doesn't mean the card has to be fully DX9-compliant.

On their site, they refer to Radeon 7200 and GF2 cards.

I dis-remember whether a Radeon le is the older version of the 7200 or the 7000.

In any case, an upgrade of some sort looks to be in order.

The 9700 np would be a good choice.
