Seeking Advice on Upgrading

I am an overclocker preparing to upgrade my system. I am either going to go with a Duron or a T-Bird. I haven't been following the overclocking scene for a while as my work has been keeping me busy, so I have lost touch with what is the best new setup.

I am leaning towards a Duron and an MSI motherboard. It appears that if I get a Duron, it doesn't make much difference what speed it is as they all tend to overclock the same. Is this correct? Or would I be better off getting a lower end T-Bird to overclock?

Please give me some advice on what to purchase. Also, if you know where I can get any good deals on the hardware, I would appreciate it if you let me know.

Thanks,
Trav

P.S. Also, what is the best fan for overclocking these processors?

A 600 or 650 Duron MAY hit 1000.

An 800 oor 850 Duron has a decent chance of 1000

Any T-Bird under 850 usually needs a voltage mod or serious cooling to get 1000.

An Alpha 6035 is a good cooler
