i am leaning toward ati or matrox as quality of text (and not games) is paramount.
hey it ain't my machine, don't flame me. i love gaming, it's for work.

Yeah, I'd go with Matrox, no question. G400 is nice and
reasonably priced. But, heck,
even a G200 is VERY solid for a non-gaming system, and it's
a relative steal at around $30-40 on the secondary market.
