Seeking A+ cert info

I"ve been trying to find info on getting A+ certification as it seems it may be yet another useful little paper/resume item. I"m just a 2nd year college student so not really in IT industry yet and I figured this would be a good idea. I"d consider myself an expert user and all that so I was just wondering what kind info I could get on this, what does it usually cost and such? any advise?

It may be worthless in your own circumstance, but not for everyone.

It's not going to get employers beating down your door, but I would say it's decent padding for a resume.

 
Having spent alot of time looking at job postings, I often see phrases like "A+ or MCSE preferred" or something similar.
