Seeing Raid in Dos

So I shut down my computer on Tuesday before going to the doc and came back to turn it on yesterday. It locks up on the boot process saying that the pci.sys file is missing is corrupt. No problem, I go to the net find which file I need to replace to fix things and I'll get back in business. Problem is I can't seem to "see" the raid setup in dos mode. So I can't replace the offending file to fix. I've tried booting from windows xp home and pro cd's to go to redovery mode and they won't boot. This is doubly strange because the recovery CD that came with the computer will boot from the CD. Problem is, when I try to do the non destructive recovery option on there, it locks up after an hour or so.

Only thing I can think of now is to throw another harddrive in there, install an OS and get the data off once I get windows up. However, if anyone has a better solution, I'm all ears.

If I can see the raid setup in dos, I think I can fix it....
