seeing people from HS again...

I'm sure it happens all the time... but I've grown up a military brat so knowing people for extended periods of time or seeing them after years isn't something i'm especially used to....

But anyways... I've been running into people from HS (grad '99) and it's so damn odd seeing how people have changed...

Anyone have any funny stories about long lost friends? 😛

I saw one friend of mine who looked younger than me in HS and now he's all plump and has a beard... looks almost 30... yet he said i still look the same... and i'm 22 ;x

Saw another girl who I used to admire way back when... and now she's a total dork! But still as gentle-hearted as ever....

Anyways... yeah... my week has been odd... 😱

All the time; I'm in contact, some intermittent, some daily, with people from h.s. (graduated 2001). So weird to think I'll be in law school this time next year.

People change in interesting ways; all part of the magic of life.

I try to avoid most of them. Most of them were jerks. There are a few that I would like to see again...but those are the ones that I will probably not see.

I had the same idea... Also the fact that I worked an odd hours job lead to me not going out during the normal times you would run into people... So now that I no longer have that type of job and i'm on a regular sleeping schedule with the rest of the world I seem to be running into people... It's interesting... to say the least.

9/10s of the people that went to my high school were brain dead idiots and hicks. The twenty or thirty people that I knew relatively well I see surprisingly often.

I went to a high school overseas and have only seen 1 person from high school since then. Had some good friends but they are just too scattered everywhere.

i had a fat friend who cleaned up really well, got into shape, has a goatee, and makes good money. surprised me.

When I was in college I went to a club in B'ham with my gf at the time and bumped into a guy that I went to elementary school with. I hadn't seen him since the 7th grade after I moved. He looked strung out and had obviously been smoking pot from the smell.

That was just weird.

at age 48 i can say this: they die, become alcoholics, put on weight,
and get gray - just like your parents/grandparents - but not all of them, of course.
