Second thing, It's called Black Entertainment Television, it caters mainly to black viewers, almost all it's employees are black and a good proportion of it's viewers are black. What? Do you want me to bring forth evidence about that too? I will go through the trouble if you want me to.

This is about the only fact you have...unfortunately it doesn't prove the channel encourages poor behavior in people.

And you want me to provide proof of what? I am stating facts buddy, whites are the majority and if you don't like that fact, move to Jamaica for all I care, this is not something that requires further proof than looking out of the window and sampling some demographic data about where you are and what is the population made out of.

That statement is racist whether you know it our not. Majority is a given, but does that make black people not want to be actors?

Your argument is based on proving racist tendancies. So no matter how you try and hash it out racism is at the root of the problem.

Proportionally speaking you can group people into pretty good demographics. That population count apart will pretty much be equal based on percent of populations.

I am white by the way in case you are thinking otherwise.

I know you are white, but that is besides the point.

And I don't respect you ditching my entire post and then sprinkling your opinion over the leftovers . Why not address my points one by one and prove your point? Instead of answering racism to every question?

Ooookaaaay.... pushing past all the drama and getting back on topic. Tyler Perry has a large audience who like to watch movies with a good clean theme. This is the first one of his movies or plays that I've seen that had any other curse word in it besides "hell" and he takes a lot of flak for that one word on his message board. I saw white people in this movie and there are white people in his others as well. I personally am glad to be able to watch a movie NOT about gangstas, killin, and foolishness. I also NEVER watch BET. (Did I mention I'm a black woman?)

How long is a long time? When was the last time this occurred?

Proof please? And even if that was true, I would say they get filtered not because of racism in higher numbers because "too many black actors" in an American movie usually in most cases would reflect a false demographic (again unless it's a specific topic) and thereby reducing the realism of the movie itself.

How about you provide proof otherwise?

You made the statement. You have to provide the proof.
You can't just say any crazy thing you like, not back it up and then tell others they have to prove you wrong and expect to get away with it.

Right, however; I am not going to spend the time weeding through online searches to do so.

One would have to be an idiot to think that the reason their aren't more black stars is just because black people don't try to get the roles.

Percentage-wise just as many black people per capita of the black population go for acting as whites.

However; there is a very different demographic that 'makes' it.

All this takes for proof is to visit a few college drama departments in different areas of the country and then listen to the tales of them finding jobs.

Did you read my post or did you just listen to alkemyst's fabrications, I NEVER said all black people watch BET, I just said it's sends the black people that do watch it a bad message, that's all.

Yeah, because proof is defined by what wannabe actors say.
Why do I even read anything you post anymore? That is the real question.

WTF?

I wouldn't go so far to guarantee no more than one white group would be in a screening.
