CRT FTW!

We're almost to the point of matching the quality of a CRT though.
Amazing that it's taken well over a decade to even get close.

Almost? An OLED TV blows any CRT out of the water.

Imagine if you could take a time machine to the 1950's, and you brought with you a curved 77 inch flat screen TV. That would be crazy.

I bet they would even see the curve as a gimmick

I would not say that at all. Perhaps for still photos or something. But I've still not seen anything give that same crisp, sharp, 3D depth look like when I used to play quake 3 on my 19" CRT monitor. It was like the fog was floating in real life. And the crispness and lighting was just crazy awesome. I'd never go back to CRT but I still haven't seen anything pull that off again like that. Soon though I hope. I know there are probably other better aspects to probably colors or something for OLED but the overall look and feel on that CRT was incredible. Some aspects of it still just haven't been able to be captured yet just the same.
