It worries me to get into an area o/c'ing that is not written up more. I only just upgraded a few months ago from my P3-850 which scored 780 on 3dMark01. I upped the voltage on my HyperX to 2.85V and I'm running stable at 380FSB on a 5:4. I still have some testing to do, but it should've failed if it were going to. Do you see any problems? I've been cautious, and my temps are 31C Idle 47-48C stress. It seems too much for air, I didn't know if I'm missing anything important.

Memory Freq: 320MHz

That's the only thing that doesn't look right. At 280fsb, it should be at 186mhz (3:2) or 224mhz (5:4) x2 for DDR, which are both over 320mhz. I see on the Overclock line above it, it lists 224 DDR, which is correct, but what is that Memory Frequency then?

Otherwise, that's a very nice overclock :)

Yeah. Great OC especially for a 1st. My first venture wasn't nearly as pleasing.

You should feel a small difference from the p3. What kind of 3dmark01 improvement did that get you.

19157 3dMark01. As far as other benches, I get the following:

PCMark2002
CPU 8305
Mem 9988
HD 1302

Sis Sandra
CPU Arithmetic 16567 (Dhrystone-10367, Whetstone-2907/6502)
CPU Multimedia 40421
Memory Bandwidth 11803 (5957/5966 Buff, 4141/4132 Unbuff)
File System 33567

I don't know if I ran unbuffered correctly, I only took off the one option.

I'll check when I get home (which could be really late), and assuming nothing blows up I'll repost the buffered. I know people are running faster, it's just they all seem to be running water or phase cooling. I haven't tried any higher, I'll probably sit on this o/c for a bit until I feel safe. Thanks.

I know a friend whos running his 2.4c @3.6c, using corsair 3500 XMS 2x512, slk-900u and a tornado fan. But hes also using a 1.725vcore. He doesnt really thing that using anything over 1.65vcore is dangerous. So he is running 3.6ghz full stable. Id try running 3.6ghz, but i aint going above 1.65vcore. I dont wanna fry my chip. He runs at the same temperatures as he would at a default vcore amazingly, 55c max full load. about 35c idle. He's been running his chip at that speed for months, so i dont think its really that dangerous to use air cooling as long as you have the right heatsink/fan combonation. But i woudlnt go raising the vcore above 1.675 at most. I'm afraid to even run mine at 1.65v.

Well that made a difference, 2603/2686. It is nice to know I'm not frying my CPU. I worry some about 2.85 for the HyperX, but I have seen o/c's posted where people have done that. LOL. I wonder if I can eek 285 at a 5:4 on this. I did on a 3:2 just long enough to benchmark it, but it wasn't stable. I told myself I'd only go as high as I could on a 5:4, I may need to retract that thought and reconsider.
