You don't need a sound card as there is onboard sound on every motherboard i can think of, but the quality of sound would be better if you do get one, this only makes a difference if you're an audiophile so i wouldn't worry if i were you.

What are you doing with this system, if it's for gaming then you do need a graphics card, if you're just using it for word and surfing the web then you just need onboard graphics. Also what's the remaining budget (and the total budget).

Your internet is broadband? If so then you just need an ethernet port to plug the cable into, these are standard on all motherboards these days so don't worry about that.

i'd like to spend around $60 a mother board and $60 on a video card. what are some good motherboards and video cards for my price range? yes its for gaming, i'm gunna want to run counter strike, and eventually i'll get a better video card

Ok, for counterstrike you don't need much, but more modern games won't run at high resolutions or with much eyecandy on a $60 graphics card.

You want a 754 motherboard with PCIe.

I don't have a clue what's around in that price range, definitly worth looking at second hand.

That GF4 MX is obviously AGP. AGP cards are being phased out (newest one is the 7800 GS). Don't expect any more AGPs to be released since all mobo manufacturers are making PCI-Express motherboards.
