I have been getting into security and penetration testing as of late and was curious what websites are out there that are updated daily that deal with security or "white hat" hacking.

While some may call this site a resource for all types of hats.
http://insecure.org is a great site which contains links to information and various tools, some of which you may be familiar with.

If you haven't tried backtrack yet, I recommend you take a look at it.

Don't let the name of the link fool you, there is quite a bit of valuable information on using backtrack and the various programs at the backtrack user forums. Again, keep in mind that not everyone on these sites is white hat. There are people learning for the exact opposite of what you are wanting to defend against.

;)

If you are just looking for information on recent stuff you could read the bugtraq on the insecure site or subscribe to the mailer. Another great source is SANS, they have a weekly newsletter that is fairly comprehensive.

Let us know if this is along the lines of what you are looking for.

thanks for all the helpful links. I've been playing around with backtrack and a couple classes. I've also been slowly starting to set up a security lab environment as well. I also started checked the remote-exploit forums. Thanks again.
