Looking for something I can setup for family/friends. The only thing that comes close is MSE, but it doesn't offer full protection (e.g. against rootkits). Other software I've tried (such as sandbox programs, HIPS, firewall) etc are too complicated and intrusive, normal people cannot hope to understand their settings and dialog boxes.

I've set it up with MSE doing realtime protection, a custom hosts file, Firefox with AdBlock+, and scheduled weekly scans with MSE and AntiMalware free version for now.
