I'm going to set up a security system for some ones business so they can monitor live video from home. It will be my first time doing something like this and the setup is going to be like 8 camera's going into a PC that will have 2 four channel DVR cards(<--something like these)with a couple really large hard drives for constant recording.
Now if the person wants to view the live video from home, I'm sure it's best that she has broadband.
My question is: Does there need to be a broadband connection at the business as well in order to get quality video?.....or will a business "dial up" connection be sufficient(static ip of course)
She was told a dial up connection was all she needed and I was kind of skeptical of that.
