Security System for USB HD?

I have a 60 gb hd (USB connected) that travels with me; I'm looking for a decent software package that will protect the hd from unauthorized use. There are alot of security programs out there but i'm hoping to get some actual experience feedback from some of the other folks here. Thanks.
